Red Barn Amherst Wedding >
I started photographing Tamar and Kris’ wedding day at the Black Walnut Inn in Amherst, and from there we drove to Amherst Center to take in a local arts fair. After grabbing a bite to eat we walked around town for a pre-ceremony portrait session and then headed back to the Inn to prepare for the rest of the day.
The ceremony and reception were both held at The Red Barn on the Hampshire College campus, and once the Tamar and Kris exchanged the vows they wrote themselves, the party really got going. Here are some photos from their day…
- The couple leaving their suite at the Black Walnut Inn, headed for Amherst Center.
- Stopping for a quick smooch in Amherst.
- At the art fair in the center of Amherst, Tamar and Kris danced to one of the performers.
- Next the couple decided to grab a quick bite to eat in town.
- We ran into some family in town, and their nephew couldn’t wait to get into the toy store.
- One of the Quick Portraits from our portrait session in Amherst.
- Another Quick Portrait from our session in Amherst.

- Kris and Tamar having their first look at one another all dressed up for their wedding.
- Waiting patiently for their friends to pull the car around.
- Kris and Tamar were all smiles as they walked down the aisle together.
- Exchanging vows surrounded by friends under the chuppah.
- This little guy found a way to amuse himself during the ceremony.
- A great moment between Tamar and Kris near the end of the ceremony.
- The couple went off on their own for a short walk away from the crowd.
- Some details from throughout the day.
- The couple thanked their friends and family for their heartfelt words during the ceremony and their toasts.
- Being carried aloft during the hora.
- A great way to end a great day.

What a gorgeous couple and beautiful photos! I’m working a Red Barn wedding this Fall (I’ve never actually been there, if you can believe it) so it was nice to get a sneak peek. As always, you captured everything perfectly.
