Melody recently celebrated her Sweet 15, becoming a Quinceañera, at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Chicopee with her reception at the Springfield Marriott in downtown Springfield.
She began her day having her hair and makeup done prior to the church service where I met up with her, her friends, and her family. She and her court entered the church after everyone was seated to begin a beautiful Quinceañera service. After a red carpet exit from the church and a limousine ride to the Springfield Marriott, we took some formal portraits of her family and friends on the venue’s rooftop terrace.
Once guests were seated, Melody’s family and then her court were introduced in pairs as they entered the reception. Melody then took her place on a centrally located throne while her father attended to the ceremonial change of shoes. She and her father then shared a dance in the center of the room which was followed by Melody and her court performing a waltz.
After dinner and a slideshow, Melody changed dresses and she and her court presented guests with a choreographed dance routine, which was followed by a cake cutting with her and her parents surrounded by all the guests. Then there was more dancing with a performance by professional local dancers that everyone really seemed to enjoy.
Closing out the night was Crazy Hour, full of energetic and joyful dancing by anyone who wished to come out onto the dance floor and continue the celebration.
