New York City Wedding > just married

Tracy + Miles live in New York City and met through mutual friends. They fell in love during the pandemic and had their wedding ceremony and reception at the location of their first date, a restaurant in New York’s Nolita neighborhood named Peasant.

My time with them began at Elizabeth Street Garden where we met to make some portraits of the two of them and Miles’ son Jake prior to the ceremony. Peasant was literally across the street so it was a short walk back where they freshened up as guests began arriving.

Once everyone was seated Miles and Jake walked down the aisle, followed by Tracy, and their ceremony began. Their vows were both well written and made everyone laugh and cry at just the right moments. After the cocktail hour were speeches given by groups of their friends, and Miles surprised Tracy by singing a song that was a big hit among the crowd. Jake joined in to make it a full family event.

Peasant served up an amazing buffet for dinner. Afterward Tracy + Miles had their first dance and cut their cake, which was followed by a lot of celebratory dancing.

Here are some photos from their day…
