Russian Orthodox Wedding >
Sasha + Dante were married at a Russian Orthodox Church in Enfield with a reception at the Amherst Woman’s Club. They had been engaged a year and planning their wedding for a couple of months before we met. We hit it off immediately and they quickly booked me for their wedding day.
Our day with them began at Sasha’s childhood church in Enfield. Father Brendan gave us carte blanche to photograph anything from anywhere throughout the ceremony. We were happy to have that freedom as guests stood for the duration. At the conclusion, once everyone had left for the reception, we made family portraits right there in the church.
From there we travelled north to Amherst where their reception was being held at the Amherst Woman’s Club. There was a band performing during cocktail hour, and after a blessing and a thank you from Sasha + Dante we took some time to make portraits of them on the grounds before the sun set.
After dinner there were a handful of toasts, after which everyone moved inside for a performance by another trio of musicians who were friends of the couple. Then, accompanied by a pianist and violinist, Sasha + Dante performed the tango for their first dance. This was followed by parent dances and more dancing with the live performers.
Sasha + Dante had additional help on their day from…
