Northampton Country Club Bat Mitzvah > Bat Mitzvah Portrait

I first met up with Miren and Jane and their parents Helen and Dan at Congregation B’nai Israel in Northampton. We gathered for family portraits earlier in the week before their actual Bat Mitzvahs that upcoming Saturday. Miren and Jane are twins, so their combined ceremony is technically a B’not Mitzvah. We utilized the area behind the temple before segueing inside for portraits on the bima, including some with each girl holding the torah. Their final practice for their upcoming service was right after our session, so I stayed to document that part of their journey, as well.

After their Saturday service, which typically isn’t photographed, their family and friends gathered at the Northampton Country Club for their party. People mingled and then there were a series of speeches by family wishing the girls well. The team from Marx Entertainment kept kids and adults alike moving with great music and an emcee who really knew how to get everyone involved.

Here are some photos from their events…
