Lord Jeffery Inn Wedding > creative wedding portrait

Caitlin + James met at UMass Amherst when they were both students, so it seems fitting they had their wedding back in Amherst at the Lord Jeffery Inn.

Both got ready at the Lord Jeffery Inn so it made photographing both of them earlier in the day that much easier. We were able to beat the rain and have their first look on the Inn’s rooftop deck, followed by their family formals. Partway through it began to lightly rain so we moved the remainder of the portraits into the library, though Caitlin and James and I stepped outside briefly for a couple of portraits of just the two of them.

Because of the rain, the decision was made to move the ceremony inside, but that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying it, particularly James who motioned for everyone to cheer at the conclusion. After the ceremony the wedding party went off to toast the newly married couple, and Caitlin moved with her bridesmaids into the hall to have her dress bustled since there was more room there to work.

After the introductions, first dance, and toasts, everyone settled in to a fun evening with lots of dancing and lots of laughter.
